Former
minister of aviation, Chief Femi Fani Kayode, who is standing trial over
alleged N26 million fraud, has denied a media report
that he appealed
to the Abuja Federal High Court for out-of-court settlement with the
Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), which is prosecuting him on a
five-count charge.
The former minister, in a statement by
his spokesman, Jude Ndukwe, described the report as completely false, saying he
at no time approached the court for such a deal as reported.
