Seven-Year Old Damilola Who Ran Lagos Marathon: I Want to Excel like Bolt




Seven-year old Damilola Oluwaseyi who participated in the Lagos Access Bank Marathon on Saturday hopes to develop into a world acclaimed athlete and equal the feats of Jamaican superstar Usain Bolt.  


Oluwaseyi, a primary four student of the Federal Housing Estate Primary School Lagos said that she joined the race after 32km in Lekki.

I'm pleased to have taken part in this event. I joined the race at Lekki and I finished," Damilola
"And I hope to become a good runner in future and achieve a lot just like Usain Bolt.

Damilola also revealed that she began running with her father when she was four on the streets of Lagos.

"My father encouraged me to join the sport when I was four years, and I have been running short distances within Lagos."
