The “Views” pop star bagged
an outstanding 13 wins total, including Top Artist, Top Male Artist,
Top Billboard 200 Artist, Top Hot 100 Artist, Top Song Sales Artist, Top
Streaming Songs Artist, Top Rap Artist, and many more.
The Toronto artist surpassed Adele,
whose 2012 triumph earned her 12 titles on the strength of her
mammoth “21” album, which saw her take home Artist of the Year, Top
Female Artist, Top Hot 100 Song for hit "Rolling in the Deep," and
Top Billboard 200 Album.
"I got my whole family up here,
look at my dad looking all sharp! I got the man responsible for being here, the
love of my life," a triumphant Drake told the crowd while accepting the
Top Artist trophy. "Hold tight Adele!"
Drake earlier in the night took to Las
Vegas' Bellagio Fountains for a groundbreaking performance of album cut
"Gyalchester" paired with pyrotechnics and cinematic Sin City
visuals -- the perfect victory lap for his big night.
